How this calculator works

Your State Pension age comes from the official GOV.UK timetable. For people born between 6 April 1960 and 5 March 1961, it adds between one and eleven months to age 66. If that lands on a day that does not exist, such as 31 November, the date moves to the last day of that month, as GOV.UK does in its own examples.

The amount is an estimate of the new State Pension at 2026/27 rates: £241.30 a week multiplied by your qualifying years divided by 35, with nothing paid below 10 years. It does not include contracting out, protected payments or increases in future years. Your real figure is on your GOV.UK State Pension forecast.

For people born after 5 April 1977, the dates follow the law as it stands today, which plans a rise to 68 between 2044 and 2046. That could change after a future government review.
